DSL Modems
Xila Broadband clients have three options for sourching modems.
- On a per-order basis in quantity’s of 10. Modem prices usually range from $35 to $55 depending on the model.
- Clients can choose to utilize their own compatible modems.
- Direct to customer modem drop shipping. More information on this method is below.
Direct to Customer Modem Drop Shipping - NEW!
After placing a new order for DSL service, you now have the option to have Xila Broadband ship a DSL modem directly to your customer. Like other transactions requiring payment, the modem cost will be deducted directly from your prepaid balance within BACC™. Modems are shipped to your customer from "DSL Order Fullfilment" and will not mention Xila Broadband on the shipment.
Benefits
Clients no longer are required to order modems in bulk.- Shipments remain private labeled, showing a shipped from name of "DSL Order Fullfilment"
- Ease of use: click twice and a modem is on it's way to your customer.
Step 1:
After placing a DSL order the order information table will appear on the customers account homepage, providing you the ability to submit a drop ship request for a new modem.
Step 2:
After clicking the order button you'll be shown an additional table which displays the modem model currently available for drop shipping, it's price, shipping price, your current account balance, and your estimated balance after placing the order.
If you don't plan on utilizing the drop ship feature, these are the requirements for any DSL modem:
ADSL Modem
Must support RFC1483 / Bridge Modem
DMT (g.DMT)
VP set to 0
VC set to 35
