Coverage Areas
Xila Broadband currently offers dry loop DSL (no landline required) service and traditional DSL (landline required) with coverage spanning most of the USA. Customers do not need a local telephone line with the telephone company in order to qualify for dry loop DSL service, in areas where we offer traditional DSL service a landline telephone number is required. To be more specific, we offer dry loop DSL service only in areas where Verizon® would normally provide the customers landline telephone service & high speed DSL.. We offer traditional DSL service in all areas where Verizon® and AT&T® would normally provide telephone service and high speed DSL (excluding formerly BellSouth areas). Pricing is identical for dry loop DSL and traditional DSL across the board with both carriers. We've also attempted to simplify our pricing by making all speeds the same wholesale price regardless of the underlying provider.
You can add the Covad network to your account for an additional one-time fee of $59.99.Covad requires the usage of their modem, they will ship the modems directly to your customer and they will be Covad branded. A fee of $40 is charged up-front for the modem.
Although a very rare occurrence, in some cases we may not be able to determine if DSL service is available during a pre-qualification and further testing may be required. In this event, the pre-qualification will automatically be submitted to the Xila Broadband staff for further testing.
Some factors that may cause this event are:
Newly installed phone lines
Address not matching the carriers records
A customer being on the “edge” of coverage
The carriers inaccurate database
